At a glance
- Your invoice data never leaves your browser. We do not have access to it
- We do not require you to log in or sign up. Nothing is stored against your identity
- We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate, anonymous traffic patterns (which tools are most used, which pages get the most visits) so we can improve the Site
- We do not currently run advertising on the Site. We may add advertising in future, in which case this Policy will be updated and a cookie consent mechanism added
- We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing
Who this Policy applies to
This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors and users of gstbillmaker.in (the “Site”) operated by GSTBillMaker.in (“we”, “our”, “us”). By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this Policy.
Information we collect
Information you actively provide
- Contact form submissions — when you fill in the form on the Contact page or email us directly, we receive and retain your name, email address, and message contents to respond to your enquiry. We do not use this information for marketing, and we do not add you to any list
- Invoice tool inputs — your business name, GSTIN, client details, line items, amounts, logo, signature image, and bank details that you enter into any invoice generator on the Site are processed entirely in your browser. None of this data is transmitted to or stored on our servers. The PDF you download is generated locally on your device. If you close the browser tab without downloading the PDF, the data is gone
Information collected automatically
- Server logs — our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, page accessed, timestamp) for security, abuse prevention, and basic capacity planning. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not linked to any personal identifier
- Google Analytics 4 — we use Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) to collect aggregate, non-identifying information about how visitors use the Site, including pages viewed, approximate geographic region, device type, and referral source. GA4 uses cookies and similar technologies. The data is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. We have configured GA4 with IP anonymisation enabled and we do not pass any personally identifiable information to Google. You can opt out of GA4 tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by enabling Do-Not-Track in your browser
Cookies
We use:
- Essential cookies — required for the Site to function (for example, to remember a session or your cookie consent preference)
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate, anonymous Site usage as described above
We do not currently use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies. If we begin using advertising cookies in future (for example, for the Pro tier launch), you will be notified through an updated Cookie Notice and a consent mechanism will be presented before any non-essential advertising cookie is set.
How we use your information
- To respond to your contact enquiries
- To investigate and prevent abuse of the Site (for example, automated scraping or denial-of-service activity)
- To improve the tools and content based on aggregated, non-identifying usage patterns
- To comply with legal obligations
Sharing of information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising. Limited disclosure may occur:
- To service providers (hosting, email delivery) strictly necessary to operate the Site, under confidentiality obligations
- To comply with a legally binding direction from a court or competent authority of India
- In the event of a transfer of ownership of the Site, in which case the successor will be bound by a privacy regime no less protective than this Policy
Data security
Because invoice data never leaves your browser, your sensitive business and client information remains under your sole control. For information you do submit (contact form, email correspondence), we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You may request, by emailing info@gstbillmaker.in, to:
- Access information we hold about you in connection with prior contact
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information from our contact records
- Withdraw consent for any future processing
We will respond to verifiable requests within a reasonable time.
Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information, please contact us and we will delete it.
International users
The Site is operated from India and is primarily intended for Indian businesses. If you access the Site from outside India, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local law.
Updates to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or new features such as the Pro tier. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
