Common questions
What is a Quotation?
A Quotation (also called an Estimate) is a formal price offer sent to a prospective buyer. It includes itemized prices, validity and terms – but is not a binding sale until confirmed.
How is a Quotation different from a Proforma Invoice?
Both are pre-sale documents. A Quotation is more informal and flexible – prices can change before confirmation. A Proforma Invoice is more formal, often used for advance payments and internationally accepted. Either way, the final document is a Tax Invoice.
Do I need to charge GST on a Quotation?
No – a Quotation is not a taxable supply. You show estimated GST so the buyer sees the all-in cost, but no liability is created until you issue the Tax Invoice.
Can I edit the template in Google Docs?
Yes. Upload the .docx to Google Drive and open with Google Docs. All placeholders stay intact.
How do I add my company logo?
